Granting SMC Access
Following instructions walk through how to grant a user SMC Access and change security levels in Pronto Xi
F3 SMC

SMC User Admin

There are two ways to grant SMC Access. You can add a new user with new privileges, or you can copy a user from existing privileges
COPY SMC Access from Existing User

To verify what access a user has use the maintain user mode at the top

This will show what menus and utilities that the user had. Menus will show with Type M and utilities will show with type U

Once access is verified the copy user function is used.

It will then ask you which user you want to copy the SMC access to

The new user will now appear in the current SMC users table

Add User to SMC without Copying
To add a new user click on the add user mode at the top

It will ask if you want to add a new SMC user or copy from the selected user

Select the user you want to add to SMC

It will bring up the System Management Console. This is where the user will click on what access is needed. First click on User Utilities Menu

It will bring the user into the user utilites menu. Click on the tabs that the user needs access to. As tabs are clicked they will turn green

Once all tabs are selected, press escape

It will bring the user back to the SMC and show that User Utlilites Menu is now green. If this is all the access that is needed then hit escape again

User has been granted access to SMC
Last step when adding a user to SMC is to verify that secruity level of the user is level 8. Instructions on doing that are displayed below:
