Key fields for the component setup are:
- Track Serial - Y(es)
- Item Code - stock item code linked to the equipment. This is the integration link with inventory
- Change - out PM Task - Create a PM task for the change out process. This assists in processing ad-hoc and forecast PM Tasks. NB. to update Run times on the component work orders raise a defect work request to attach to the change-out work order generated.
Serial Installation
Once the components are configured, the original OEM serials are registered on the components
Install the serials for the engine and transmission
